InfoPlease find listed below information regarding all additional
aspects for our gigs. Song Requests: All clients can pick between 28-30 songs from our current set list. We accept 1st and last dance requests if the song you
would like to hear is not listed on our set list. We usually need at least
one months notice to prepare your request. Should you wish to make more
than one special request, there may be an additional charge. Abnormally Funky have performed at a wide variety of
Wedding Venues including small venues such as pubs & church halls
to larger country estates, theatres & halls. We are also able to perform
in a marquee or outdoors in the summer months. Abnormally Funky Provide their own Industry Standard
Professional PA System and Lighting Rig which is suitable for most venues
and as such, PA and Lighting costs are included in any quote for the band.
In the event of a larger or outdoor venue we can hire in the relevant
equipment and lighting at additional cost. Should the client wish to provide
their own PA & Sound Engineer for the gig, the bands PA requirements
can be discussed. It is always highly recommended that we use our own
PA & Lighting as our system is tried, tested and designed for our
specific requirements. At present setting up and sound-checking the band
takes approximately one hour. All of our equipment is PAT Tested to Standard Health
and Safety Regulations (http://www.pat-testing.info/) and we endeavour
to lay out all electrical equipment and instruments as neatly and as safe
as possible. We require at least one electrical socket and we provide
our own PAT Tested extension leads. Although staging is an advantage to any gig, Abnormally
Funky can perform with or without staging, indoors or outdoors. For optimal
performance, we require the following minimum size for performance space. Abnormally Funky require a (free) supply of soft beverage or water throughout the duration of the event. The provision of food is required as is provided to the guests, or an alternative substantial meal. Car parking for 4 cars should be made available, preferably near the entrance of the gig for ease of unloading equipment. Contracts & Booking Bookings are confirmed by receipt of a 10% deposit and a signed Musicians Union Band Hire Agreement stating full details of the event. Remaining payment is expected no later than two weeks before the gig (by bank transfer or cheque) or as cash, paid at the start of the gig. Musician’s Union booking agreements comply with up to date Industry Standards. Cancellation In the event of a cancellation at more than 28 days notice
before the gig, 50% of the total fee is required. At less than 28 days
notice, the full fee is required. Once a booking is confirmed, we keep in touch with all our clients leading up to the event and contact the client a week before the event to confirm all details of the gig. We like to ask all clients for feedback after the gig to assist in our development as a band. |
